FOIA

Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA)

The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) is a public body required by law to comply with Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act, Public Act 442 of 1976, as revised (“FOIA”). It is DWIHN’s policy to comply with FOIA by granting eligible persons to DWIHN's public records, unless those records are exempt from disclosure by law. These Policies, Procedures and Guidelines (search "FOIA") ensure uniformity in DWIHN's practices and procedures in releasing public records, and the charging of fees to process a FOIA request. A Public Summary is also included which provides a brief overview of these policies and procedures. A Fee Itemization Schedule has been provided to give people an idea of what costs are permissible, under FOIA, for DWIHN to charge for the searching, redacting, and producing of public documents.

Any questions or FOIA requests may be directed to DWIHN's FOIA Coordinator at FOIACoordinator@dwihn.org, or by mail addressed to the FOIA Coordinator, 707 W. Milwaukee St., Detroit, MI 48202.
