Community Care Clinic

DWIHN is currently accepting members for outpatient behavioral health services, located on the 3rd Floor of the 707 Crisis Care Center at 707 Milwaukee St, in Detroit. We currently provide the following services for adults and children:

Adults with serious mental illness (SMI) 18 and older
  • Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment
  • Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Behavioral Health Services for members in the military and veterans
  • Co-occurring Treatment
  • Outpatient primary care screening and monitoring
  • Outpatient Therapy
  • Person-Centered Planning and Treatment
  • Targeted Case Management Services
 
Children
  • Treatment and intervention for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance
  • Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatric Treatment
  • Child and Family Therapy
  • Individual Therapy

MEET THE STAFF

Dr. Jennifer Severe
Medical Director of the Community Care Clinic. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and an expert member of the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation at University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Severe is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her psychiatry fellowships at Columbia University and Harvard Medical School, her psychiatry residency at Baystate Medical Center/University of Massachusetts Medical School, and her medical school at the Université d'État d'Haïti, Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie.

Dr. Salma Brinjikji
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Completed undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and earned medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Completed residency and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. Areas of specialization include psychiatric evaluations and medication management of children, adolescents, and young adults.
