Residential Services Department
The purpose of the Residential Services department is to standardize and manage services to those that are receiving MI/IDD Community Living Support and Personal Care Services in various specialized residential settings.
Key components include:
- Completing Residential Assessments to determine medical necessity and ensure least restrictive setting.
- Processing new Residential Referrals.
- Brokering placements for members eligible for Specialized Residential Services.
- Conducting training sessions for Clinically Responsible Service Providers (CRSP) to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
- Assisting with state facility admission and discharge planning.
- Assisting with planning for youth transitioning from DHHS foster care settings to Residential Services.
- Processing Residential Authorizations to ensure amount, scope, and duration are accurately reflected in member charts.
Residential Services continues to review, monitor, and finalize all (internal and external) departmental policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with internal departments to assure changes and adjustments are modified and/or implemented as needed to provide the best service our almost 3,100 MI and IDD members.
