State’s Largest Mental Health Agency Named Best Place to Work for 2024
DETROIT, MI – August 27, 2024 - The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) is recognized as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2024 Best Places to Work in Southeastern Michigan. The annual award comes from one of the nation’s top business publications and is one of the most recognizable programs in the region for organizational success.
The honor comes not only for the agency’s major accomplishments in the past year or the exponential growth of its quality programs and services, but rather employee feedback and sentiment through anonymous and independent staff surveys.
“This is a testament of our focus to celebrate and support our team members,” said DWIHN Interim President and CEO, Manny Singla. “We are only as good as the professionals we employ, and they are our greatest asset.”
Crain’s partnered with Workforce Research Group, an independent firm that manages employee engagement surveys, to conduct the research and provide a ranked list. The rankings were based on the weighting of employee surveys (80%) and employer questionnaire information (20%).
In the past two years, DWIHN has experienced exponential growth, evolving and expanding to serve its population with greater access and inclusion. In 2023, DWIHN launched its mobile crisis services division, which is now fully staffed to respond 24/7, 365 days a year. Also, the agency opened the 707 Crisis Care Center, the first and largest of its kind in the State of Michigan.
“The dedicated staff of DWIHN make us what we are,” said Singla. “We’re pleased with our work, but we’re prouder of our workforce.”
DWIHN was also recognized last year by the Detroit Free Press’s Top Workplaces for 2024. This Crain’s recognition further confirms the overall atmosphere of the agency fosters rewarding experiences and positive morale among its employees.
